Sightseeing

This is La Mesa Dam in Quezon City. I never thought La Mesa Dam could this be beautiful from above. And like some of my beautiful pictures I shared in this blog, this too was taken by my favorite photographer Ver Noveno.

He shared this photograph not just to show the beauty of La Mesa Dam but to express his concern over the mushrooming industrial and residential houses in the surrounding area of the dam.

Inside the complex of La Mesa Dam is an eco-friendly playground called La Mesa Ecopark. This is perfect for family picnic and other recreational activities for everyone. There are so many activities you can do while inside the Ecopark. You can enjoy the amenities for a minimal fee or simply enjoy the nature while strumming your guitar.

Parks and playgrounds

Kids need to play outside for socialization and physical development. If looking for available playground or open space is a bit of a problem to you, you can visit Quezon City Memorial Circle, Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife and La Mesa Eco Park. They are all located in Quezon City. I haven’t visited these parks for quite a long time so I can’t tell if Jungle Gyms have been added as one of the public attractions.

The kids and I will try to visit these parks and other historical sites in Manila before the opening of classes next month. We would love to have a meaningful summer vacation without spending a lot. 🙂

Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife

This lagoon is part of the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife. I took this picture using my pre-owned SLR camera in 1990 as part of my subject requirement.
