Star City 2014

We were finally able to visit Star City last Sunday. We were not supposed to go that night, but we discovered our tickets (ride-all-you-can) would expire a week from now. So we might as well avail the free rides.

We don’t have many pictures to show. We arrived at Star City at around 7. We ate a quick snack in one of the hotdog booths there.

We took the Surf Dance for our first ride, which hubby and I regretted. It was one of Star City’s Extreme Rides and we were not supposed to ride in it. I was shouting the whole time and my knees were shaking when we went down.

Hubby and I realized we should leave all up the fun rides to the kids except for the extreme rides.

The kids also tried Star Frisbee twice. They enjoyed the ride a lot. But we were nervous as we watched the giant Frisbee swung to its highest limit. My son would also like to try Star Flyer (inverted roller coaster) but we discouraged him from doing so because I feel it’s not safe for him.

So, this is the only decent picture (groupie) we have at Star city. We were inside the Giant Star Wheel – the safest (for me) as it is one of the family rides.

Boating For A Living

When you fish for a living, you need the proper boat in order to get your catch back to shore. There are boats that companies like Dixon’s Marine Group sells that have everything you could ever need in the way of tools and nets to make fishing a little easier.

Lobster and crab boats are those that need the proper materials in order to haul a large amount of seafood on board. These boats already have most of the netting so that you don’t have to spend a lot of extra money on supplies. If you don’t like to fish all the time, you can get a yacht that has an area where you can relax while on the water. You will also have plenty of room to sit on the deck of the yacht and sink a line in the water while waiting for the fish to bite. Tuna boats are a little smaller and sit closer to the water. These are ideal for those who fish on occasion and don’t need something as big as a lobster boat. When you purchase a boat from a company, you have the reassurance that if anything happens, there is someone who knows how to fix it instead of trying to find someone who specializes in the repairs.

The kids are excited about visiting Star City again this or next weekend. Dad got another set of complimentary tickets from the office. We haven’t gone to any place last Christmas to treat the kids, so Dad decided to reserve a few tickets. It will be a day of fun. The kids would surely enjoy the rides. I’m just as excited as them. No work on that day. Weee!
