So it happened on the night of N’s birthday. We were able to avail the hotel accommodation at Torre Venezia Suites. While I appreciate the few hours away from the boring routine schedule at home, N felt otherwise. She wasn’t as excited and would just spend the night at home and would just strum Epiphone guitars if she had a choice. But all four we went to the three-star hotel located at the corner of Mother Ignacia and Timog Avenue. I had a few photos to share in my next post.
We were finally able to make our first (and hopefully not the last) hotel reservation for the next weekend in time for my daughter’s 18th birthday. We will be staying for a night at the Torre Venezia Suites with free breakfast for two. A suite can accommodate four persons but we have to request for an additional bed which would costs us P1,300 per bed. Since we don’t have fund for it, we decided to reserve another suite. So, this saves us an additional expenses and all four of us will have free breakfast. The hotel reservation also allows us to use the swimming pool and gym. The kids are excited!
The Feast of the Black Nazarene is one of the largest and most popular religious events in the Philippines (wiki). Every year thousands of devotees join the procession of the miraculous image of the Black Nazarene from Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Manila. Devotees join the procession for the atonement of sin, pray for a good life, and pray for a sick relative.
